Dear Medical Students,

The Tanzania Medical Students Association (TAMSA) is pleased to announce an important opportunity for all chapters of Medical Students’ Associations (MSAs) across Tanzania.

As part of strengthening Tanzania’s representation in the Federation of African Medical Students’ Associations (FAMSA), each chapter is required to nominate one Local Officer to represent their institution in one of the following FAMSA Standing Committees:

1. Standing Committee on Education and Research (SCOMER)
2. Standing Committee on Professional and Academic Affairs (SCOPA)
3. Other FAMSA Standing Committees SCOPUB , SCOPE, SCOHE 

Responsibilities of the Local Officers:

1. Represent your chapter in the respective FAMSA Standing Committee
2. Act as a bridge between your chapter and FAMSA to promote collaboration
3. Participate in discussions, initiatives, and research projects , and other projects within the committee
4. Help advance medical education, research, and professional development at the continent level 

How to Nominate:
Each chapter should select and submit the name of one student to represent them in their preferred FAMSA Standing Committee. Kindly send the nominee’s full name, university, email, and preferred committee to VPI by 10th of March 2025 (submission deadline)

This is a great opportunity to engage in regional collaboration, leadership, and medical education advocacy at an international level. We encourage all chapters to take part in this initiative.
