Biography
Syeda Maham Jamal is a dedicated medical student at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) and currently serves as the Vice President for External Affairs of the Tanzania Medical Students Association (TAMSA). In this role, she is eager to collaborate with various organizations both within and beyond Tanzania to enhance opportunities for medical students and advocate for their needs while providing organizations to leverage the skills of 5000+ medical students under TAMSA.
Previously, she has served as the National Exchange Officer in the Standing Committee of Professional Exchange and played a pivotal role in organizing the 12Th TAMSA General Assembly and 14Th International Scientific Conference, which brought together over 150 delegates from across Tanzania and East Africa. Additionally, Syeda is an active member of MUHAS’s Internationalization Unit and has participated in several international conferences, including the Leadership Summit in Dubai and the 4th Medical Students World Congress of Neurosurgery in Florence, Italy. She has also served as a volunteer for the largest Health conference in Tanzania, the Tanzania Health Summit.Her diverse experiences and unwavering commitment to the advancement of medical students position her well to lead initiatives that foster growth and collaboration within the Healthcare fraternity.
Syeda welcomes collaborations on a wide range of initiatives, from event organizing and workshops to support for student travel for electives and international conferences. She is excited to explore partnerships that can implore the potential of both medical students and organizations alike.
