My name is Murtaza Mzumbe Mussa . I am a dedicated medical student and the current President of the Tanzania Medical Students Association (TAMSA). I am now in my 4th year pursuing a degree of Doctor in Medicine at the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences(CUHAS). With a strong passion for healthcare leadership and community service, i have spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at improving public health and empowering young medical professionals in Tanzania. I have been instrumental in organizing medical camps and international scientific conferences that address both local and global health challenges. I am also the pioneer for the 1st TAMSA Ethical Moot Court.

In my leadership journey, i have served TAMSA in different positions. I have served as the General Secretary for the TAMSA CUHAS chapter for the tenure 2023/24. At the same chapter level, i have served as Deputy General Secretary for the tenure 2022/23. I have also served as the Chairperson of the organizing committee for the 14th TAMSA General Assembly and 16th International Scientific Conference.

My leadership is focused on fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, global health advocacy, and innovative solutions to healthcare access and education.My vision is to inspire medical excellence among  peers and to contribute to a more equitable healthcare system in Tanzania whilst unlocking  new opportunities for all TAMSANIANS.
